$150,000 in hydro marijuana seized on I-40

AMARILLO, TEXAS -- More than $150,000 in hydro marijuana was seized by a Potter County Deputy during a routine traffic stop in Amarillo Tuesday.
Police say a Deputy was working Drug Interdiction on Interstate 40 near Bell. The Deputy stopped a 2006 Tan Hyundai with North Caroline license plates on a traffic violation.
During the stop, consent to search the vehicle was not given and a K-9 unit located 42 pounds of hydro marijuana.
The marijuana has a street value of $168,000.00. Jonathan Ryan, 29, the driver, was arrested for possession of marijuana more than five pounds and under 50 pounds.
Ryan was booked into the Potter County Detention Center.
