Amarillo motorcyclist killed by drunk driver

An Amarillo man was killed after he was hit on his motorcycle by a driver who had been drinking.
The incident happened early Friday just after midnight. Police say Leonardo Segura, 52, of Amarillo, was driving a 2007 Nissan Murano northbound on Interstate 27 two miles south of Amarillo. In front of Segura was Glenn T. West, 68, of Amarillo on a 2003 Suzuki motorcycle.
According to police, Segura's vehicle struck West and his motorcycle.
West was transported to Northwest Texas Hospital where he later died from his injuries. He was wearing his helmet.
Segura was arrested on charges of intoxication manslaughter.
