CANYON, TEXAS -- The Jack B. Kelley Student Center could be seeing expansion very soon now that the A & M System Board of Regents has approved the budget.

Now it's up to the Interim Chancellor who will then have to give it a stamp of approval.

JBK Manager Chance Haugen says then they hope to get construction started in August and completed 15 months later in the Fall of 2012.

We caught up with Student Body President Brandy Roberts who says she is excited.

"I know that we're a growing university, so I know that as much space that we can get as possible is beneficial. All purpose rooms will be great for things like New Student Orientation's, concerts, we can rent it out to businesses, so I know space is a big thing."

Roberts said she is also ready for the new student government rooms.
