2 arrested on drug charges after state narcotics search

AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Methamphetamine and marijuana were found at a Amarillo home Wednesday morning, landing one person behind bars.
The Potter County Sheriff's Office Special Operations Division executed a State Narcotics search warrant at about 6:45 Wednesday morning at a residence in the 4200 block of Southeast 15th Street.
Inside the home, Deputies found 16 grams of methamphetamine and 2.6 grams of marijuana. Little Joe Hernandez, 42, was taken into custody and booked into the Potter County Detention Center on charges of manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance in a drug-free zone, a first degree felony. Additionally, Gloria Martinez, 48, was charged with possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor.
The meth had an estimated street value of $1600 and marijuana was estimated at $50.
Police say they are continuing their investigation.
