TAOS, N.M. (AP) - A 300 pound mother bear and her cub crashed a wedding at a Taos resort, romping across lawns and climbing trees as wedding guests grabbed their cameras.
Authorities say they have had reports of bears in the area and they think it's probably the same bear.
New Mexico Game and Fish officer Matt Pengelly used a dart gun to sedate the mother bear as it sat perched in a tree about 30 feet off the ground Sunday night.
Pengelly tells the Albuquerque Journal (http://bit.ly/qE1vle) the bears messed up the wedding.
After the bear was sedated, Pengelly carted her off and was to release her later.
As for the cub, it ran off into the woods.
