Officials tell Pronews 7 the fire is now under control. It burned an abandoned out building, Potter County Sheriff Brian Thomas said.

Wildfires are prompting the voluntary evacuations of areas north of Amarillo.

Those areas are near Davison and Tascosa Roads near the Valle de Oro area.

Officials tell Pronews 7 the fire is threatening homes northwest of Bishop Hills.
