The victims in this shooting are identified as Guadalupe Castenda and Joe Valerom, Jr., of Clovis

Enrique Deleon, 25, of Clovis is now in custody and is charged with an open count of Murder and Child Endangerment. Police say Valero and Deleon were at a gathering at Valero's residence and an arugument broke out resulting in a fist fight. Shots were fired, killing Castenada and Castenda.

According to police, a 911 call was received at about 8:45 of shots fired in the 1000 block of N. Prince Street. Upon arrival officers found a 44-year-old man and a 25-year-old female shot in the front yard.

The male victim was pronounced dead on scene and the female victim was transported to a local hospital then to Lubbock where she later died.

Police say a person of interest is in custody and the investigation is ongoing.

The identity of the victims is being withheld until the family is notified.
