AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Police responded to a reported armed robbery at Toot'n Totum in the 1700 block of S. Nelson late Sunday night.

According to police, a female employee reported a suspect approached the counter and asked for a carton of cigarettes. When she told the suspect they didn't have the brand he asked for, he allegedly produced a dark-colored handgun and demanded money from the register.

After the employee reported she gave the suspect the money, he then left and ran toward an area behind the store. That's when a vehicle drove from behind the store and left southbound on Nelson.

The suspect is described as a white male in his early 20s with thick black hair and glasses. He was reportedly wearing a long, dark-colored duster style coat.

No injuries were reported and no arrests have been made.
