AMARILLO, TEXAS -- A Potter County grand jury has ruled on three officer-involved shootings in Amarillo from the month of September.
Two of those shootings happened within 14 hours of each other, and all three in less than four days.
47th D.A. Randall Sims says if you point a weapon at a law enforcement officer, that officer will use deadly force.
"There were eight officers involved, I can say without question after reviewing this case and presenting it to the grand jury, that those eight officers couldn't have acted any better than how they handled the situations they were facing."
Sims says in the past, officers have returned to duty immediately, but that's not his call.
