Masked man invades Amarillo home on Halloween

AMARILLO, TEXAS -- A juvenile who answered his door to "Trick or Treat" was beaten in a home invasion Halloween night, police said.
The juvenile, whose identity is not being released, told police he answered the door and saw a black male wearing a skeleton mask. As the victim turned away to look for candy, the masked male entered the home, police said. The home was located in the 1100 block of North Taylor.
According to police, the suspect struck the victim in the face causing him to fall to the floor. The victim was held down with his eyes covered, police added.
Police also said the suspect held a knife to the victim's ribs and threatened him. Four other men may have possibly entered the home to go through several rooms, police said.
Items taken from the home include a video game console and a handgun, police said.
Before leaving the home, police said the suspect kicked the victim repeatedly.
The victim suffered an abrasion to his left temple, police said.
As for a description of the suspect, police said he was a black male wearing a skeleton mask, white shirt and black shorts.
The home invasion happened around 7:45 p.m.
