AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Guardians of the Ribbon made a stop in Amarillo Thursday to display their bright pink memorial -- fire trucks.
It was a part of their national "Pink Heals Tour" hosted by the Amarillo Fire Department and Harrington Cancer Center. The large breast cancer ribbon, the Guardian of the Ribbon touring crew accompanied the pink fire trucks which were covered with hundreds of thousands of signatures, all for someone who has been touched in any way by cancer.
"If people get sick they tag you as something that says your sick," said Founder of Guardian of the Ribbon Dave Graybill. "What if you use the color based on love? What if we all just put you first? God put me here to wage war on anything that may harm you. I'm a man, my job is to protect any women in this country and why not start with a terrorist called cancer?"
The public was encouraged to come out, sign the trucks and help the Harrington Cancer Center by purchasing one of the Amarillo Fire Department's "pink" T-shirts.
