AMARILLO, TEXAS -- A man suspected of killing three people in North Carolina was arrested in Amarillo on Saturday, officials said.

David Manning, 41, was arrested Saturday afternoon in West Amarillo.

Texas Department of Public Safety said it was contacted on Saturday by the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation saying Manning, who is a triple murder suspect, was tracked to Amarillo.

The Texas Rangers were contacted along with Amarillo Police Department SWAT officers to help locate the suspect. At around 4:00 p.m., SWAT officers arrested Manning on Cypress Point.

After arrested, Manning was interviewed by the Texas Rangers, DPS said.

Manning was transported to the Potter County Jail where he was booked on a triple homicide warrant. The warrant, according to DPS, stems from a home invasion and the shooting death of three people in Thomasville, N.C.
