AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Police are investigating a burglary where almost 100 microwave units and other appliances were stolen from a hotel under construction.

Amarillo Police said the burglary happened at the Candlewood Suites at #18 Western Plaza, which is under construction. It happened between the hours of 10 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. Wednesday, police added.

The microwaves, according to police, were black GE microwave units that are installed under a cabinet. They were still in the boxes.

In addition to the microwaves being stolen, police said six GE brand black dishwashers were taken. Management said an undetermined number of LG brand 42-inch TVs were also stolen.
