PORTALES, N.M. -- A community healthcare center in Portales has been awarded a grant for more than $340,000.

According to U.S. Senator Jeff Bingaman from New Mexico, La Casa de Buena Salud will receive $342,095 in grant funding to help deliver healthcare services to the community. The grant comes from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

"Community health care centers, like La Casa de Buena Salud, provide an array of services for the entire family," Bingaman said. "This funding is in an important investment in the center and its patients."
