AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Although gas prices have risen 14 cents in the last week, Amarillo is still the home of the cheapest gas in the state.

And that's two weeks in a row!

According to AAA Texas, Amarillo's average price for retail unleaded gasoline was listed at $3.17 per gallon. Last week's average price was $3.03 per gallon.

Even with the increase, Amarillo's price at the pump continues to beat out the national average of $3.45, AAA Texas said. The national average rose by seven cents in the last week.

Texas' average price was listed at $3.38 per gallon.

The most expensive gas in the state, according to AAA Texas, can be found in Texarkana and Dallas at $3.40 per gallon.
