CLOVIS, N.M. -- Police in Clovis will be targeting drunk and drug-impaired drivers during the month of March through DWI saturation patrols.

The patrols are scheduled for March 3, 9, 16, 17 and 28 inside the City of Clovis.

Additionally, a DWI checkpoint will happen on March 23 from 10:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.

Police are reminding people that while it is illegal to drive while intoxicated, it is also illegal to drive under the influence of prescription drugs that may impair the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
