AMARILLO, TEXAS -- When the Amarillo Independent School District Board of  Trustees met Monday evening, one thing they did was say goodbye to one of their own.

Mary Faulkner announced her resignation from the board at the meeting. She joined the board four years ago as an active mother whose daughter attended AISD schools. Faulkner told Pronews 7 she feels honored to have had the opportunity to serve on the board and after her recent marriage, she feels it's time to leave the board and focus on other areas of her life.
