Tonight, thousands of people across the country will enter the world of The Hunger Games with Katniss Everdeen.

The midnight showing grossed a record-breaking 19.7 million dollars.

"It was pretty crazy, but it was a lot of fun and we had a lot of people come out," said JoBeth Harris at Hollywood 16.

Hollywood 16 started selling tickets in February and plan to be sold out for most of the shows.

"Its grossed a lot more than any other movie we've had so far this year, its doing really well," Harris said.

Some fans may even pick up a bow and arrow like Katniss.

Ken Bintliff teaches traditional archery at Amarillo College and says he'll probably see an increase in enrollment for his fall class.

"Every time a movie comes out, like the latest Robin Hood or Avatar and now this one," said Bintliff. "I always see people wanting to get into because of the movies."

So whether you end up taking your kids to the movies this weekend or try your hand at archery, you better bring your appetite.
