ATV crash at Canadian River kills woman

A 54-year-old woman was killed Sunday evening after being involved in an ATV crash, Potter County Sheriff Brian Thomas said.
It was just after 2:00 p.m., Sunday when Potter County Deputies were called to the Canadian River on a woman being involved in an ATV accident.
Authorities said when they arrived they found Francisca Rascon, 54, being attended to by her husband.
Her husband told authorities the family had been riding their ATVs since about 1:00 that afternoon. After arriving back to their campsite, he told authorities he noticed his wife was no longer with the rest of the family.
The family, according to police, returned to the area where they had been riding. They found her lying on the ground about 50 yards up Bull Taco Hill in a ravine, authorities said.
She was lying next to her red ATV, police said. Her husband told police she was wearing her helmet at the time of the accident.
Police said she was taken to a local hospital in critical condidiotn with severe head injuries. At 11:00 p.m., it was reported that she had died from her injuries.
