SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) - New Mexico Attorney General Matt King says a man accused of killing a Clovis boy will be brought back to the state from Mexico to stand trial.
King announced Friday that the Mexican government has granted the extradition of 33-year-old Noe Torres.
Authorities say Torres was part of a gang that fired several bullets into a Clovis home in September 2005, resulting in the death of 10-year-old Carlos Perez.
Torres was captured in Mexico on Jan. 25.
He has 15 days to appeal the extradition.
King says he faces three charges including first-degree murder, attempted murder and shooting at an occupied building.
