42 grams of meth seized during Amarillo narcotics search

AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Police arrested two people Friday morning after finding more than 42 grams of methamphetamines during a state narcotics search.
At about 9:30 a.m., Friday, the Potter County Sheriff's Office Special Operations Division Execution Team served a state narcotics search warrant at a home in the 1600 block of North Seminole.
About 42.4 grams of methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia were found in a vehicle parked on the front yard of the residence, Sheriff Brian Thomas said.
Three adults were in or about at the home, Thomas said.
Christopher Gale Valdez, 36, was charged with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance in a drug free zone, a first degree felony.
Veronica Barrientes, 28, was charged with possession of marijuana in a drug free zone and possession of drug paraphernalia. She also had three outstanding misdemeanor warrants from the Amarillo Police Department.
The value of the meth was estimated at being $2,600.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
