CLAREMORE, Okla. (AP) - The two Republicans vying for their party's nomination to represent the 2nd Congressional District will face off this evening for a debate ahead of next month's runoff election. Markwayne Mullin and George Faught will meet at Rogers State University in Claremore.
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Figures show that the number of homicides in Oklahoma City is up by more than 50 percent for the first half of the year, compared to the same period a year ago. There were 48 homicides during the first six months of 2012, compared to 30 last year.
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The sister of a Tulsa shooting victim says her brother was holding his 10-year-old daughter's hand when he was shot this weekend outside a Best Buy. Graydon Brown's sister says he was buying a birthday present for his wife when he was gunned down on Saturday in what police say was a gang-related shooting. Another second man also died.
LOUISVILLE, Ohio (AP) - Chesapeake Energy executives say they'll headquarter their Utica Shale operations in eastern Ohio at new offices near Canton. The Oklahoma City-based company and other developers have increased their presence in the region as part of a natural gas boom.
