FORT SMITH, Ark. (AP) - A trial is set to begin today for a Sallisaw man who's charged in the shooting death of an Arkansas man. Brandon Fritts is charged with first-degree murder for the January shooting death of 36-year-old Jamie Czeck, whose bullet-riddled body was found in an alley.

DOVER, Okla. (AP) - The death of a 23-year-old Hitchcock man is under investigation after his body was found lying on the road in Kingfisher County. Investigators with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol say they think Caleb Canaday's body was already in the southbound lanes near Dover before he was hit yesterday morning.

TULSA, Okla. (AP) - A man who's accused in the shooting death of a Tulsa businessman is set to stand trial beginning begin. Fred Shields is charged in the 2008 death of Neal Sweeney. Prosecutors say Sweeney was killed in a murder-for-hire plot because of a business dispute.

TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Nearly 4,300 people showed up to a casting call this weekend in Tulsa to try to snag small parts in a new movie starring Oscar-winning actresses Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts. Shooting for a movie based on the Pulitzer -winning play, "August: Osage County" is set to begin next month in Pawhuska and Bartlesville.
