OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - There were four new West Nile virus cases in Oklahoma in the past week but no additional deaths. The Oklahoma State Department of Health said Tuesday there have been 65 cases of the virus and three deaths this year. The first confirmed case was in June.

COLCORD, Okla. (AP) - A Delaware County teenager is fine after falling 100 feet into an abandoned water well. The Sheriff's Office says three teenagers were allegedly stealing a section of a car body from a pasture when the incident happened late Monday. The teen was able to climb about 70 feet up the well and a firefighter was lowered in to bring him to safety.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - A state senator says he wants to know whether inadequate training and oversight are responsible for problems at the Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs' and its seven veterans' centers. Sen. Frank Simpson of Ardmore spoke Tuesday as a Senate committee launched a study into the structure and responsibilities of the Oklahoma Department of Veterans' Affairs and the state War Veterans Commission.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The price of gasoline jumped by about 3 cents per gallon in the past week in Oklahoma and has risen 22 cents in the past month. AAA Oklahoma said Tuesday that the average for a gallon of self-serve regular gas in the state was $3.59 per gallon. AAA said the average price was $3.42 per gallon a week ago and stood at $3.44 per gallon a year ago.
