Amarillo based organization Christian Relief Fund is asking locals for donations to aid with hurricane Isaac relief efforts.

CRE is going on forty years strong, and has helped with numerous relief efforts including Hurricane Katrina and the Haiti earthqake, a local organization with big aspirations.

"So you can make those kind of donations, people can stop by here, we're herein Amarillo," said Miltin Jones, president of Christian Relief Fund. "We're just a relief agency here in the panhandle, that is trying to help change the world."

Donations will be accepted one of two ways: at their Amarillo headquarters, or online at www.christianrelieffund.org. In addition to donations, CRF is looking for volunteers to help restore the gulf after the storm clears.

"We need some people that have had experience," said Jones, "but we could use anybody, some people can just serve food to the people that are hungry."

The volunteers will be sent off after the storm clears to areas with the most need.
