2 men indicted on charges from March fatal wreck

AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Two Amarillo men were indicted on charges stemming from a fatal wreck in March of 2012.
Freddie Guajardo was indicted on a charge of Intoxicated Manslaughter and Dillon Charles Lavallee was indicted on a charge of Accident Causing Injury or Death.
On March 19, 2012, police said Guajardo, 22, was driving northbound on Arthur at about 2:21 a.m., in a 2005 Chevy pickup when he struck a 1999 Nissan Sentra that was traveling eastbound on 10th.
The passenger of the Nissan, 56-year-old Raymond Lewis Bates died at the scene, police said. As for the driver, 18-year-old Dillon Charles Lavallee, police said he left the scene on foot but was later found at his home. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He was not arrested.
Guajardo was taken to a local hospital for medical evaluation and was later booked into the Potter County Jail on the charge of Intoxicated Manslaughter, police said.
Lavalee was arrested on September 12 and is currently out on bond, police said.
