Combined Federal Campaign kicks off with chili cookoff

AMARILLO, TEXAS -- People gathered at the VA to compare their chili cooking skills.
Awards were handed out for best tasting, hottest and even most amazing presentation were handed out.
Participants, including the pirates of the chili-bean and a couple cheese heads, came from various federal agencies in the Amarillo area to kick off the Combined Federal Campaign.
"This event if fun for the employees and the residents and patients of the hospital to taste some chili and have a good time, very successful fundraiser," CFC Loaned Executive Amanda Allen said. "We have a lot of dun and 26 entries this year."
The CFC is the world's largest workplace charity campaign with more 20,000 non profit charitable organizations involved.
