AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Out and about this next week, the Texas Department of Transportation says motorists can expect delays throughout Amarillo because of construction projects.
Paul Braun, TxDOT spokesman, said all projects are subject to change because of the weather, emergency work and other unexpected events.
-- On US 60, expect continued lane closures in both directions from Grand Street to Eastern Street for milling and paving operations.
-- On the IH-27 frontage roads, expect continued lane closures in both directions from Bell Street to the Interchange for patching.
-- On IH-40, expect continued lane closures in both directions in the left lane from Loop 335 (Soncy) to the Oldham County line for edge work.
-- On the IH 40 frontage roads, expect lane closures from Crockett to Georgia Streets on the west bound frontage road, which will require the frontage road from Fannin to Bryan Streets to be closed for a couple of days as well. There will be a detour sending traffic north on Fannin, West on 16th Ave and South on Bryan St to the frontage road. This is to accommodate ramp work for an Americans with Disabilities Act project.
