AMARILLO, TEXAS -- A 48-year-old man was killed early Sunday morning and police say speed and alcohol were factors.

Police said a 1993 Nissan Pathfinder was traveling northbound just after midnight on Sudnay when it lost control in the 5400 block of North Dumas Highway.

The vehicle was exiting the highway and then rolled at least two times, police said.

The driver of the vehicle, 48-year-old Michael Kent Malone, was transported to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.

An autopsy was ordered and police said speed and alcohol were both factors in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation, police said.
