What a difference a day makes. A day after falling to the Wenatchee Wild 7-0 in round-robin competition, the Amarillo Bulls made no such mistake on Monday in the Robertson Cup National Championship Game as they shutout the Wild 5-0 to win their first ever National title. Ryan Cole scored twice on his way to tournament MVP honors and goaltender Paul Berrafato made 16 saves for the shutout.

The West Texas A&M softball program made history on Wednesday morning as they were named the #1 team in the country for the first time in school history by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) in the weekly Top 25 poll, WT’s Renee Erwin was also honored by the association as the National Player of the Week after a monster week by the Lady Buffs to improve to 19-1 overall.
