Amarillo Independent School District Director of Athletics, Brad Thiessen, has announced the hiring of Melissa Kinnear as the Head Girls Basketball Coach for Caprock High School. Kinnear replaces Wes Torres who took a similar position at Midland High School last month.

What a difference a day makes. A day after falling to the Wenatchee Wild 7-0 in round-robin competition, the Amarillo Bulls made no such mistake on Monday in the Robertson Cup National Championship Game as they shutout the Wild 5-0 to win their first ever National title. Ryan Cole scored twice on his way to tournament MVP honors and goaltender Paul Berrafato made 16 saves for the shutout.
