AMARILLO, TEXAS (AP) -- Polish up those boots and get your best cowboy hat.
The American Quarter Horse Association along with the local Panhandle Golden Spread are hosting the Boom Circuit Horse Show Thursday, July 12th through the 15th.
AQHA expects two to three hundred exhibitors at the event from all over the area.
The competitors will participate in English events like jumping and hunter under saddle. Also western events like cutting, reining and even roping.
The objective for exhibitors is to gain points that will help them get to the annual AQHA world show in Oklahoma City.
Exhibitor Sally Palitza has been showing horses for 13 years and tells us that these horses aren't just animals they're good friends too.
The Boom Circuit Horse Show is at the Tri-State Fair Grounds in the Bill Cody arena and the Amarillo National Bank Center.
Best of all, there's no admission.
