West Texas A&M freshman first baseman Allie Cranfill is the National Coaches Association hitter of the week.

And what a week it was as the Lady Battin’ Buffs won 7 games. The Frisco, Texas native hit 609 with two doubles, four walks, eight home runs, 21 rbi and she scored 13 runs. A 667 on base percentage and a 1.739 sluggin percentage.

So far this first season, Cranfill is batting 376 with 19 homers and 54 rbi and she ranks third in the nation in home runs and is sixth in slugging percentage. The Lady Battin’ Buffs play their final Lone Star Conference and home series this coming weekend, hosting Texas Woman’s University. A doubleheader Friday and a single game Saturday.
