STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) - Frank Anderson is out after nine seasons as Oklahoma State's baseball coach.

Athletic director Mike Holder announced Tuesday that Anderson will not be back as the Cowboys' coach next season after missing the NCAA tournament two of the last three seasons.

Anderson was 329-208 while in charge of the Cowboys, reaching the NCAA tournament six times and coming within one win of the College World Series in the 2007 super regionals.

Holder said in a statement that Anderson had to "endure five years of very significant scholarship reductions due to miscalculations by the compliance office" but never made it an excuse. The Cowboys finally emerged from those scholarship limits but still could not make the postseason this year after finishing fifth in the Big 12.
