Mike Prokop has been named the head football coach at Friona High School after spending the past two seasons as head coach at Farwell High School.
Prokop is a 20 plus year veteran of the coaching ranks in Texas and New Mexico and during his time as head coach at Texico, New Mexico, he led that school to 7 state title games, winning three championships.
