The Bushland Falcons hope of a state baseball championship ended Thursday afternoon in Round Rock as Jarrell beat Bushland 9-2 in the UIL 2A championship game.

Bushland fell behind 3-0 after just one-half inning and never recovered, going thru a number of pitchers, trying to hold down Jarrell's bats.

It's the second time in three seasons the Falcons squad has come up short in the title game, losing in the gold medal contest back in 2010. Bushland finishes the season with a 31-7-1 record and yet another runnerup trophy and medals.
