Amarillo Sox split after Thursday win

AMARILLO, TEXAS -- The banged-up, short-handed Amarillo Sox earned a split of their four game series in Wichita thanks to a 5-0 win over the Wingnuts on Thursday night.

American Association pitcher of the week, Justin Garcia continued his fine hurling, as the fired a 3-hit shutout, striking out four, throwing 112 pitches in a complete game.

The Sox now head to El Paso for three games before returning home on July 30th to begin a six game homestand.
