PAMPA, TEXAS -- Two men were killed early Thursday morning in a crash outside of Pampa.

The Texas Department of Public Safety said speed was a factor in addition to the road being wet because of rain.

Troopers responded to a single vehicle rollover four miles west of Pampa on US 60 at around 5:45 a.m. DPS said a 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse was traveling eastbound when it hydro planed and rolled.

The vehicle rolled onto the passenger side before hitting a power pole, DPS said. The vehicle hit the power pole where the occupants of the vehicle were.

Driving the vehicle was 28-year-old Marshall Lee Ezhevarria of Amarillo. The passenger was 42-year-old Gary D. Wallace of Amarillo.

Both men were pronounced dead at the scene by a Justice of the Peace, DPS said.

At the time of the rollover, DPS said the roads were slick and it was raining.
