24-year-old arrested for aggravated robbery

AMARILLO, TEXAS -- A 24-year-old Amarillo man was arrested on a robbery charge late Tuesday afternoon, police said.

Officers said they were in the area of Northeast 15th and Manhattan hen they were flagged down about a personal robbery that had just happened.

A 22-year-old man told police he had just been threatened with a knife and was robbed of his personal belongings. The victim directed police to a home in the 800 block of Arapahoe where the robbery happened.

Occupants of the home were interviewed and a photo lineup was shown to the victim.

The suspect was positively identified from the photo lineup. Shawn Adam Whitney, 24, was booked into the Potter County Jail on a charge of Aggravated Robbery.
