AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Holiday cheer was all around as bargain hunters looked for the best deals on electronics, toys, and home goods.

While some took a leisurely approach, others rushed the doors to find what they were looking for. Shoppers came fully prepared Thursday night and Friday morning for Black Friday deals, many with coupons and shopping lists in hand.

Retailers had big savings on everything from TVs to kitchen appliances, with some stores offering up to half off selected items. Kohl's, Target, and Best Buy were among the many stores in Amarillo that opened their doors to thousands of eager holiday shoppers.

Don't forget, between Black Friday and Cyber Monday is small business Saturday. If you're looking to boost your local economy and support local retailers, check out which locally owned stores will be open in your area.
