AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Amarillo Police are currently on scene of a jack-knifed semi on the I40/287 split.
Eastbound traffic is being rerouted to 287.
There are several wrecks and cars off the road near Whitaker Road east on I40.
Additionally, there are multiple wrecks throughout the city due to icy road conditions.
APD is discouraging traffic as road conditions are poor due to slick roadways and blowing snow.
At this time no injuries have been reported in any of the wrecks that have happened.
