APD seizes possible K2 package

AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Wednesday, Amarillo Police Department Narcotic Division in conjunction with uniform patrol officers intercepted a package suspected of being K2 in Amarillo.

APD officers seized the package which contained 2000 individual packages of a substance that police believe to be K2. K2 is an illegal psychoactive synthetic compound.

According to a news release from APD, the package weighed about 19.28 pounds.

At this time no arrests have been made and APD is continuing their investigation.

APD said that the street value of the suspected K2 substance has not been determined at this time.
