The Amarillo Sox continued their winning ways Thursday night on the border with a 5-4 win at Laredo.
The Sox, coming off three straight home wins, opened a seven game road trip on a good note as AAL batter of the week, Tim Alberts provided the clutch base hit in the top of the 9th inning.
He drove in what turned out to be the winning run. The Sox play game two of a four game set with the Lemurs on Friday.
