BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) - South Dakota-based Daktronics Inc. has been chosen to provide a high-definition upgrade for the stadium the Texas Rangers baseball team calls home.

Daktronics makes and services video display systems for customers around the world, including several professional baseball and football teams in the U.S.

The company says the technology upgrades to Rangers Ballpark in Arlington will include two new video displays - one behind center field measuring 700 square feet and one behind right field that will be more than 5,000 square feet.

The contract for the upgrades is still being finalized.
