West Texas A&M’s Brittan Golden has agreed to terms as an undrafted free agent to join the Chicago Bears, following the conclusion of the 2012 NFL Draft on Saturday. Golden, a wide receiver while playing for the Buffs, caught 55 passes for 1,076 yards and 12 touchdowns as a senior, will join former Buff J’Marcus Webb who the Bears drafted in the seventh-round in 2010. Golden, a Denver City, Texas native, made a huge impact while playing for the Buffs this past season as he cemented his place as one of the best receivers in WT history. Golden made a push through the WT record books during his senior campaign, finishing his career second in receiving yards (3,007) and fifth in receptions (165). He was a First Team all-Lone Star Conference and all-South Central Region selection this year, as well as a Third Team all-American choice. The Bears added 11 UFA’s on Saturday, which also consists of Wyoming running back Alvester Alexander, Troy offensive tackle James Brown, Old Dominion defensive tackle Ronnie Cameron, Louisiana Tech linebacker Adrien Cole, Maine safety Trevor Coston, Western Illinois receiver Terriun Crump, Auburn tackle A.J. Greene, Wayne State safety Jeremy Jones, Liberty receiver Chris Summers and Southern Miss linebacker Ronnie Thornton.
