Cowboys' new OL together for 1st time vs. Giants

IRVING, Texas (AP) - The Dallas Cowboys revamped their offensive line during the offseason.

Veteran guards Mackenzy Bernadeau and Nate Livings were signed, while starting tackles Tyron Smith and Doug Free switched sides. The only carryover starter in the same spot on the line is center Phil Costa.

The problem is they never all played together in the preseason. Bernadeau and Livings were in only one preseason game together, and that wasn't with Costa.

So the first time the revamped line will play together protecting Tony Romo is in the season opener Wednesday night against the defending Super Bowl champion New York Giants.

Livings says the group is focused on the time it's had together in practice, not the time missed because of various injuries.
