ALEXANDER CITY, Ala. (AP) — Former Auburn player Marquies Gunn has been arrested on drug charges.

Authorities said Gunn was charged with three counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance after his arrest Wednesday. Jay Turner of the Tallapoosa County Narcotics Task Force said Gunn was among several people arrested Wednesday following an investigation.

Gunn allegedly sold crack cocaine to an informant three times during a 3- to 6-month period in transactions monitored by authorities.

He was released from Tallapoosa County Jail on bond Thursday.

The defensive end spent time on the practice squads for several NFL teams in 2007 and 2008.

Gunn did not have a listed telephone number in Alexander City. Calls to his parents' house went unanswered Friday.
