COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS -- Danielle Gant scored 21 points and Texas A&M's defense smothered upstart Evansville as the Aggies beat the Purple Aces, 80-45, in an NCAA Women's Tournament first-round game in South Bend, Ind. In a first-round game in Lubbock, Jill Young and Kristin Rotert scored 17 points each as South Dakota State beat TCU, 90-55. Also in Lubbock, Jessica Morrow and Melissa Jones each hit two free throws in the last 23 seconds of overtime as Baylor beat Texas-San Antonio, 87-82. And in first-round play in Iowa City, Iowa, Danielle Robinson scored 15 points as Oklahoma beat Prairie View A&M, 76-47.
