It's 20 straight victories for the top-ranked Florida Gators, who posted their first perfect Southeastern Conference regular season record in 13 years with a hard-fought 24-14 victory over upset-minded South Carolina and former Gators coach Steve Spurrier.
(AP) -- Tim Tebow (TEE'-bow) tied Kevin Faulk's SEC career touchdown mark with his 53rd TD that came on a one-yard sneak. That followed a key interception by Florida defensive lineman Justin Trattou on a tipped pass when the Gamecocks were down by only three and driving in Florida territory.
The 10-and-0 Gators remain on track for their third national title in four years.
In other action from around college football:
— Second-ranked Texas rolled over Baylor 47-14 to reach the 10-win plateau for the ninth straight season. That's second only to Florida State's run of 14 consecutive 10-win seasons from 1987-2000. Colt McCoy threw two touchdown passes and tied former Georgia QB David Greene's NCAA record with his 42nd career victory by a starting quarterback.
— Third-ranked Alabama, which has already clinched a spot against Florida in the SEC title game, is 10-and-0 after beating Mississippi State 31-3. Mark Ingram ran for 149 yards and two TDs.
— No. 4 TCU also is 10-and-0 after outscoring 16th-ranked Utah 55-28. TCU scored three touchdowns in a 2½-minute span early in the second quarter for its 12th straight win in front of scouts from the Orange, Rose and Fiesta bowls.
— Sixth-ranked Boise State remained undefeated by walloping Idaho 63-25. The Broncos are 10-and-0. Kellen Moore threw four touchdown passes to Austin Pettis and tied a career high with five overall.
— Seventh-ranked Georgia Tech clinched a spot in the ACC championship game by routing Duke 49-10. Josh Nesbitt threw two touchdown passes and had a 2-yard TD run while Jonathan Dwyer rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns for the 10-and-1 Yellow Jackets.
— Keiland Williams ran for 116 yards and two second-half touchdowns in helping No. 9 LSU fend off upset-minded Louisiana Tech 24-16.
— Ohio State is going to the Rose Bowl for the first time in 13 years. Backup kicker Devin Barclay kicked a 39-yard field goal in overtime to give tenth-ranked Ohio State a 27-24 victory over No. 15 Iowa. The Buckeyes clinched at least a share of their fifth consecutive Big Ten title and the conference's automatic BCS bid.
— Toby Gerhart rushed for 178 yards and three touchdowns, and No. 25 Stanford essentially ended 11th-ranked Southern California's reign atop the Pac-10 with a 55-21 win. Andrew Luck threw two touchdown passes and ran for another score for the Cardinal, which has upset Oregon and Southern California the past two weeks.
— No. 12 Pittsburgh beat Notre Dame 27-22. That's the 10th straight Notre Dame loss to a ranked team, which is likely to turn up the heat on beleaguered Irish coach Charlie Weis. Weis is 1-and-10 against ranked teams since 2006.
— Kendric Burney returned one of his three interceptions for a 77-yard touchdown and his third pick resulted in a bizarre fourth-quarter score that helped North Carolina beat No. 12 Miami 33-24. Burney fumbled his third interception on what looked to be a forward lateral, but Melvin Williams picked up the loose ball and ran the last 44 yards for a score.
— Brynn Harvey ran for 139 yards and three touchdowns and Central Florida upset No. 13 Houston 37-32. CFU did a pretty good job in limiting the nation's most prolific passer. Case Keenum finished 33 of 56 for 377 yards and three scores after throwing for more than 500 yards in each of the previous two games.
— Oregon welcomed back running back LaGarrette Blount but he didn't play in the 14th-ranked Ducks' 44-21 win over Arizona State. Blount was reinstated after punching a Boise State player in the first game of the season. Jeremiah Masoli tossed a pair of TD passes.
— No. 17 Oklahoma State beat Texas Tech 24-17. Patrick Lavine scored on a 21-yard interception return for the Cowboys.
— Giorgio Tavecchio kicked four field goals in California's 24-16 win over 18th-ranked Arizona.
— No. 19 Penn State overcame four first-half turnovers to beat Indiana 31-20. Linebacker Navorro Bowman had a 73-yard interception return for a touchdown and Evan Royster scored twice for the 9-and-2 Nittany Lions.
— Tyrod Taylor threw for 268 yards and a career-high three touchdowns, and No. 20 Virginia Tech coasted to a 36-9 road victory over Maryland. Freshman Ryan Williams ran for 126 yards.
— No. 21 Wisconsin made Michigan's miserable Big Ten season even worse with a 45-24 victory over the visiting Wolverines. Scott Tolzien tied a career high with four touchdown passes and also scored on a quarterback sneak.
— Max Hall passed for two touchdowns and got his 29th win at BYU to match Heisman Trophy winner Ty Detmer's school record and the 22nd-ranked Cougars survived a sloppy fourth quarter to beat winless New Mexico 24-19.
— Twenty-fourth-ranked Clemson defeated North Carolina State 43-23. C.J. Spiller is the first player in Clemson history to record a touchdown passing, rushing and receiving in the same game.
