CANYON, TEXAS -- West Texas A&M has decided to split the coaching duties in the soccer program. Butch Lauffer, who started the mens program in 1991 and then followed with the womens program in 1996, has been coaching both, but not anymore, starting Tuesday. Atheltic Director Michael McBroom made the decision to hire longtime assistant and former Bootin' Buffs player, Chad Webb to coach the women. Lauffer will now coach just the men. Both squads finished among the top teams in division two last season and both went deep into the playoffs.
